16th Annual Hillcrest Golf Club Charity Tournament

Golfers are swinging into action to support the Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s Mammography Matters Campaign to bring the next generation of digital mammography equipment to the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. The Hillcrest Ladies 18 and the Senior Men’s League are looking for golfers to come out to shotgun event and have fun.

The Golf Tournament starts on Thursday, June 13th with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start at the Hillcrest Golf Club, and is sponsored by the Hillcrest Ladies 18 and the Senior Men’s Leagues.  Every dollar raised at the tournament will stay in Moose Jaw to help in the early detection of breast cancer.

Volunteer Chairman of the Moose Jaw Health Foundation James Murdock expressed his gratitude to tournament organizers and participants, “We are thrilled that the Hillcrest Ladies 18 and the Senior Men’s Leagues chose the Health Foundation to be the recipient of the event.  The Moose Jaw Health Foundation is committed to reducing the incidence of breast cancer, and reducing the mortality from cancer in our community – early detection is key.  The new mammography equipment is truly the next great advancement in digital imaging to help detect breast cancer.  The new mammography equipment features enhanced digital imaging, and provides more comfort to the patient during an examination. The Foundation Board and the medical staff at the Hospital greatly appreciate every dollar raised at the Tournament.”

Participants can come out as a team or play as an individual.  Entry fee is a minimum of a $20 donation for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation to enter.  Green fees applicable to non-members.  Contact Jean Kempel at 306-692-7622/306-631-9843, or the Hillcrest Golf Club Pro Shop at 306-693-1921 for more information and to register.
